Encounter 1: Tomb Entry
The group enters the caves underground and finds their way to what is obviously a tomb entrance. There is a large pile of skulls with a flag standing in the middle. Recently dead kruthiks litter the room. A stench of vinegar permeates the musky room and black arrows and blood dot the floor. The group moves into the room cautiously and spots a bag. The group reads a message on the skull pile that says "Ashurta, slayer of these weaklings, keeper of the Blade of the Ashen Crown. Even in death, he is stoic and strong. The might of Xoriat has not bested him, and Hell goes with him." As they investigate the bag, a group of kruthiks enter the room and attack, including some that have wings and can fly! The kruthiks are dispatched and the group finds 11 GP, a potion of healing, and a journal. The journal mentions the Kech Volaar (Wordbearers) of Darguun and that they came seeking "Ashurta's Tomb" and "the Blade."
